How is the Alpha Score calculated?

Each dimension is built from several underlying metrics that are percentile-ranked against peer geographies, with some metrics inverted (for example, high months-of-supply lowers Inventory Health).

The five dimension scores are then combined using the fixed weights above. A market with no real data for a dimension uses a neutral 50 for that slice rather than guessing. See the methodology page for every metric and weight.
