LocalAlpha is operated by Pawl Properties LLC ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use getlocalalpha.com and our services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have. Questions? Account information you provide — your email address, and (if you sign in with Google) the basic profile Google shares. We use passwordless sign-in, so we do not store a password.

Information you create in the product — the markets you watch, saved areas, preferences, and any feedback or messages you send us.

Usage and device information — collected automatically, such as pages viewed, approximate location (from IP), browser and device type, and similar analytics data. See our Cookie Policy for how cookies and analytics work and how to control them.

Communications — if you subscribe to updates or contact us, we keep your email address and the content of those messages.

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve LocalAlpha and its features;
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• Send you updates you have asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• Respond to your questions and feedback;
• Understand how the product is used so we can make it better;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your watchlists or account data for third-party advertising.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that measures aggregate traffic without cookies and without tracking you across sites. With your consent, we additionally use Google Analytics 4 for more detailed, non-identifying usage analytics; GA4 and any other non-essential cookies load only after you opt in via our cookie banner, and you can change your choice any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. We share information only as needed to run LocalAlpha:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — for example, our hosting, email delivery, and (with your consent) Google Analytics. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
• Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of LocalAlpha, our users, or others.
• Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate information;
• Delete your account and associated data — available any time from Settings → Account (a 30-day grace period applies, with an immediate-erasure option);
• Opt out of analytics cookies (via the cookie banner) and of marketing emails (via the unsubscribe link);
• Data portability and to object to or restrict certain processing.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise any right, email [email protected]; we will verify and respond as required by law.

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove your data after the 30-day grace period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (TLS), httpOnly session cookies, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to address vulnerabilities promptly.

LocalAlpha is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of LocalAlpha after an update means you accept the revised policy.
