How do I generate a Market DeepDive?

A Market DeepDive turns everything LocalAlpha knows about a market — the Alpha Score and its five dimensions, Market Phase, momentum, active signals, and how it compares to peers — into a written analyst brief you can read top to bottom. It steps up from the short brief on a market page to a full, cited report.

Every figure traces to LocalAlpha data with an as-of date, and the report pulls in current on-the-ground reporting for the "where to go next" read. It describes market conditions — it is a read to narrow your search, not underwriting, so verify the specifics before you commit capital. See the methodology page for how the underlying scores are built.

  1. 1

Open any market page — a metro, county, or ZIP (for example from the Explore map or your watchlist).

  2. 2

Click the green DeepDive button in the page header, next to "Shareable brief".

  3. 3

On the DeepDive page, check the line under the button — it shows how many included reports you have left this month and the cost if you are past your allotment — then click Generate DeepDive.

  4. 4

Wait on the "Generating…" screen. A report takes roughly a couple of minutes; you can stay on the page while it works.

  5. 5

Read your report. Reopening a market you have already unlocked this month is always free — see the related article on DeepDive pricing for plan allotments and credits.
